Original description

Two fragments of vitrification from Trudernish Point, Kildalton & Oa, Islay, Argyll. X.2014.390.2 = X.HH 999 Two fragments of vitrification from Trudernish Point, Kildalton & Oa, Islay, Argyll (see RCAHMS no NR45SE 10; NGR NR 4679 5264). The fragment is labelled with masking tape sufficiently clearly to allow identification of the site name. This was formerly in a box of miscellaneous unregistered fragments of vitrification from various sites on Islay which were recorded and allocated registration nos during Leith Cruiser Store decant December 2014. It may eventually be possible to associate further samples with specific sites on geological grounds but currently only those with any identifying features have been allocated individual catalogue numbers. Site: Trudernish Point, Kildalton, Islay, Argyll, Scotland, EUROPE.
