NJ73NW 12 c.72 39.
There are two stone axes from Upper Darley (NJ 724 397) in Inverurie Museum. One (Acc. No: AF 58) is of biotite-sillimanite-quartz-schist, while the other (AF 70) is of quartz-dolerite. (cf NJ7310 and 11.)

Inverurie Museum AF 58 (ABN 97) has been petrologically attributed to group XXXIIIa (andalusite-bearing schist, Possibly from a source in Aberdeenshire). AF 70 (ABN 107) has been attributed to group XXXII (epidiorite or altered dolerite, possibly from the Dalradian of northern Scotland).
