NJ34SW 9 c. 32 40.
A Langdale axe from Dufftown (NJ 32 40) was donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland [NMAS] in 1956-7 by W Ferguson (Acc No: AF 967).
Proc Soc Antiq Scot 1959.
This axe has been petrologically attributed to group VI (epidotized intermediate tuff of the Borrowdale Volcanic Series from the Great Langdale and Scafell area of Cumbria).
