NJ93NW 28 c. 91 38.
A Middle Bronze Age flanged axe (Class III) found on Savock (Anderson and Black 1888) or Savoch (Coles 1966) Farm, Aberdeenshire (Green of Savoch : NJ 917 389 Waulkmill of Savoch : NJ 929 373) has been in the Arbuthnot Museum, Peterhead, since at least 1888 (Acc No 2786).
(There is also a Savoch farm at NK 04 58).

(Savoch variant of Cragg Wood type). Single find, in a moss. Flanged axe, sandy brown green, slope-stop; length 138mm, butt 20mm, stop-height 3mm, cutting edge 42mm, weight 310 gms.
