NJ16SE 8 1858 6306. An EBA flat-axe mould of sandstone, in Elgin Museum (Acc. No. 1945.2) 'was found at the site of the Danish Camp on Cuttie's Hillock near Elgin.' No information on the name 'Cuttie's Hillock' was found, but the henge (NJ16SE 4) in Quarry Wood is known locally as the Danish Camp, and this can probably be equated with the Hillock. Single find - Mould, finely grained, reddish, eroded.
