Archaeology Notes

NJ26NW 16 centred 206 655. A Roman trumpet brooch, enamelled, dateable to the 2nd century AD., which was found at Lochside (NJ 206 655) is in the NMAS, on loan from William Crawford - acc. no. L.1920.4 A S Robertson 1970; Information from National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland [NMAS] loan accession index. No further information was obtained from enquiries at Lochside in 1962. Visited by OS (W D J) 29 November 1962.
