(NJ 2867 6582) Stone coffin found AD 1850 (NAT)
OS 6" map, (1959)
A short cist containing a crouched burial with a jet necklace was found during cultivation in 1850. Part of the necklace was donated to Elgin Museum in 1851. (Acc No 1851-2)
Another cist containing bones was found in March 1871 in the same sandy knoll.

Parts of the jet necklace are still in Elgin Museum otherwise no further information.
