Archaeology Notes

NF76NW 6 7260 6876 (Area : NF 726 688) There appears to be a circular erection, 35ft in diameter, within the upper portion of a large enclosure called Cuithe Lianaclett. The walls of the erection are ruinous. E Beveridge 1911. The site is considered by Beveridge to be 'quite hypothetical' but at least one fragment of pottery was found here. There are vague traces of building material on top of a slight rise at NF 7260 6876 but insufficient to form any coherent outline. Visited by OS (J T T), 11 June 1965.
