Original description

VIKING PERIOD. [IL 159] Part of buckle of brass, found near Chapel of St Donnan. KJD notes, Registration data reads '1878, 1882'. [MOS information, JAS, 7.10.98]. Kildonnan bucket mount fragments and sheet bindings (IL 159). The curving rod which would have extended from the uppermost animal head on the circular mount to the back of the bucket, forming a bucket handle loop. [IL 159 C].
