Glass bead. Form: Bead; annular; slightly flattened upper and lower surfaces. Material: Glass; dark blue; translucent. Condition: Good. Dimensions: 6.5mm diameter. Provenance: Argyll, Kilmartin Parish, Eilean Righ. From the donor's excavation of a dun on Eilean Righ, Loch Craignish. Nat. Grid: NM 8039 0219. Site type: Dun. Period: Iron Age / Early Historic. Date: 600 - 900 AD. Bibliography: A Dun on Eilean Righ, Loch Craignish, Argyll, Glasgow Archaeol J. forthcoming, cat no 2. F Ack 1983/61. Note the following were discarded by TGC 20/9/1989 three fragments of heat-damaged pebbles/stones; part of an elongated pebble of fine grained stone, broken by heat damage, probably retained as being possible whetstone? but lacking any signs of use (unless it was at the other end
