Original description
Material recovered from the sand dunes at Ardnave, Islay from the vicinity of the excavations carried out in 1979 - 1980. Probable rim sherd; original form uncertain owing to abrasion, but possibly flattened with slight lip on exterior; brown surfaces, dark grey core; compact fabric, with fine grits and profuse organic tempering; undecorated; abraded. Dimensions: 18 mm x 27 mm x 7.5 mm Th. Ritchie, J N G, and Welfare, H G; PSAS, 113 (1983), pp 302 - 366; not referred to in report.
