Original description
Material recovered from the sand dunes at Ardnave, Islay from the vicinity of the excavations carried out in 1979 - 1980. Rim sherd; simple slightly flattened rim; light brown / reddish brown surfaces, grey core; thin-walled, compact fabric, with fine grits and profuse organic tempering; undecorated; abraded. Dimensions: 21 mm x 38 mm x 4 - 4.5 mm Th. Ritchie, J N G, and Welfare, H G; PSAS, 113 (1983), pp 302 - 366; not referred to in report.
