Original description
Material recovered from the sand dunes at Ardnave, Islay from the vicinity of the excavations carried out in 1979 - 1980. Metalwork. Rosette pin of tinned bronze; 63 mm long, maximum diameter of head 15 mm; shank 49 mm long and averaging 2.5 mm in diameter. Each of the six pellets is clearly defined; finished with a file on the reverse before tinning. Only small areas of corrosion, otherwise in excellent preservation. Hearth 1.
