Original description
The finds from excavations at Ardnave, Islay carried out in 1979 - 80 under the direction of Dr J N G Ritchie and Mr H G Welfare. Coarse stone tools. Stone pounders. Fine grain; irregular oval; broken; one end removed; badly cracked; 297.5 g; 82:63:53. Damage: end faceted with a pecked area on either face and a blunt ridge across the centre; facets 29:32 and 15:36. Detached floor level.
