Original description

The finds from excavations at Ardnave, Islay carried out in 1979 - 80 under the direction of Dr J N G Ritchie and Mr H G Welfare. Flaked stone. Irregular blade. Secondary; orang with white cortex; lightly corticated; stained; cortex slightly patinated; diffuse bulb; bipolar technique; platform edge trimmed; undershot core break at distal; macroscopic edge damage on straight right side; left side irregular due to a flaw in the flint; 42:13:05; l 66; r 33.
