Original description

Organic / Wood / Picea sp or Larix sp, most probably the latter (T Skinner): Wooden scoop, with proportionately small handle, in quite good condition despite drying without treatment; part of the handle may have flaked off. Wood identified by T Skinner, C & AR Dept, as Picea sp or Larix sp, most probably the latter. Close-Brooks, J 1984. Found during peat cutting near the vendor's croft 1974/5, c 1.37m deep in a peat bank.
