Original description

[Queen Street Loan Register] Bronze Figurine of a Horse found at Crosskirk, Eshaness, Northmavine, Shetland. See Proc. Vol. LXXI p. 93. Of Norwegian origin & medieval date. It is a weight of a type issued by King Hakon 5th (died 1319). See Bröggers Book, Ertog og Öre (1921) published by the Academy of Science in Oslo p. 87-103. SB note, 15 June 2004: [Archaeology Register] Bronze weight in form of a horse, 2.65" long, 2.3" high, found at Crosskirk, Eshaness, Northmavine, Shetland. (See R.C.A.M. Shetland 1351 and PSAS. 71, 93). (Previously registered as Loan, 1939.1.)
