Original description
POLTALLOCH COLLECTION. Presented to the nation by Colonel George I. Malcolm of Poltalloch, Kilmartin, Lochgilphead, Argyll. Rod 1/8" thick, flattened and hooked at one end and bent at the other; broken, overall surviving length 2 3/4".
