Description
ard point (part of ancient type of plough); An ard is a simple wooden plough. This is one of the stone points fixed to the wooden crossbar of the ard, which ploughs the ground. Accession book reads "8 stone clubs or hammers" - see others in B.1914.986 series. Others from this group have the round Cursiter label with the blue border (nos. 21, 30, 38)
