- Spindle whorl; Modern wooden spindle (B.1914.566) with stone whorl and partly spun hank of wool; spindle long and thin, narrowing at both ends with rod-like top section and lower half with a square cross section and a knob at the tip, dark brown wood; whorl - circular with drilled central hole, grey in colour. Presumably collected in the late 19th century while still in use.
