- Description
- Pierced bone awl, pointed with perforation near the much wider head, which is the articular joint. Described in accession book as "perforated bone piercer". Finds from the broch itself, and numerous post-dating intrusive cist burials of Pictish and even Norse character, were all recovered unstratified, and may date from any period between the Middle Iron Age and the end of the Early Medieval period (see Canmore for further details).
