Archaeology Notes
NY38NW 11 c. 330 880.
A cist, containing a food vessel and a human tooth, was found on 30 May 1860 at Carlesgill (NY 330 880). The food vessel was donated to Dumfries Museum (Acc No: 1954/83) by Mr Little, Craig Farm, Langholm, whose grandfather left a clear account of its discovery.

Mr Little moved to the Lockerbie area about 4 years ago; no further information was obtained at Craig or Carlesgill.
