NX97NE 49 c. 97 76.
A partly perforated sandstone axe-hammer, found near Dumfries (NX 97 76), is in Dumfries Museum (Acc No: 12/PSA/34). It measures 11 3/8 ins by 4 1/8 ins.

This unfinished Class I axe-hammer is held in Dumfries Museum under accession number DUMFM 1934/34. It has been petrologically attributed to group XXVII (greywacke from the Southern uplands of Scotland).
