Archaeology Notes
NY38SE 19 c. 380 812.
A discoidal flint knife, 9.9cms long, 7.1cms wide and a maximum of 1.2cms thick, was found in 1947 at approximately NY 380 812, in a field on the N bank of the Tarras Water, close to Tarras Tile Works (NY38SE 44), the first time the field was ploughed within living memory. It was donated to Carlisle Museum by Mrs Tweddle (Acc No: 87.1947-1).
