Archaeology Notes

NX97NE 73 c. 963 753. A battle-axe, of Codford St Peter group, from Janefield Park (NX 963 753) is in Dumfries Museum (Acc No: 2/PSA/25). F E S Roe 1966; 1967. This Intermediate-Developed battle-axe is held in Dumfries Museum under accession number DUMFM 1934/25. It has been petrologically identified as tholeiite. T H McK Clough and W A Cummins 1988.
