Archaeology Notes

NS96SE 2 c955 590. A barbed and tanged arrowhead of speckled grey flint, 1.15" x 0.87", from Breich Braes, near West Calder, was acquired for the NMAS in 1963 (Acc. No. AD 2311) (Breich: NS 9660). NMAS Accessions Index The road from Beich Inns Hotel at NS 955 605 to the junction with the A 704 at NS 955 583 is known locally as Beich Braes. Visited by OS (BS) 8 August 1974 Find-spot of flint arrowhead. A detailed, illustrated report will be deposited with the NMRS.
