NT04NE 25 094 450.
Finds from Townhead (NT 094 450) which are in the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) comprise: a grey stone axe, measuring 6.1 ins by 2.15 ins by 1.5 ins (Acc No: AF 941); an axe-chisel of green tuff, measuring 4.2 by 1.2 by 0.45 ins (AF 956); a chert leaf-shaped arrowhead (AD 2273); and a stone whorl, 1.15 ins in diameter (BE 556). These were part of the collection of the late Peter F Dunlop of Dolphinton, which was purchased in 1955, while other finds, i.e. three parts of leaf-shaped flint scrapers (AD 2326-8); flint scrapers (AD 2824-37, AD 2861); and a Group VI (4) stone axe (AF 1025) were part of the collection of the late T B Dunlop, which was donated to the NMAS in 1965.

The axe that is held in the Royal Museum of Scotland under accession number NMS AF 1025 has been petrologically attributed to group VI (artifacts of epidotized intermediate tuff of the Borrowdale Volcanic Series from the Great Langdale and Scafell areas of Cumbria).
