Archaeology Notes
NS66SE 12 6579 6101.
(NS 6599 6101) Two cists were discovered in the garden of 78 Newton Avenue, Cambuslang (information from Glasgow Evening News, 15 May 1928), in 1927, and the two Food Vessels that they contained are now in Glasgow Art Gallery and Museum (Acc Nos '55-96); human bones found in the following year in the same garden may also belong to this small group of burials.
