Archaeology Notes

NS69NE 14 c. 67 98. A small polished axe of yellowish claystone, 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" found on Macorriston Farm, near Thornhill, in 1902 by George Patterson, is in the Smith Institute Museum (Acc. No. 2095 Cat. No.AC 73). Smith Institute 1934 No further information. Visited by OS (RD) 26 September 1968.
