NS68NW 5 620 876.
The upper stone of a rotary quern, found in trenching a shallow moss in the "Standing Stone" park on the Culcreuch estate, was donated to the National Museum, Edinburgh. The stone measured 15ins in greatest length, its upper surface was cut into ribs, and had a socketed projection on one side for the insertion of the handle. (There is a standing stone near Culcreuch - 21 NE 3).
