This thin, dressed, standing stone is 13ft high. A wedge shaped stone axe, now in the NMAS (Acc. No. AB 914) was found near it in or before 1884. It measures 4.5ins by 2.65ins by 1.05ins. There is a local tradition of a battle fought here.

A standing stone situated on a level terrace in undulating pastureland. It is 4m high, 0.9m broad and 0.48m thick. The tradition was not confirmed.
Surveyed at 1:10000.
Visited by OS (TRG) 1 June 1978.
This standing stone is situated in a level arable field 30 m E of the approach road to Kilbride. Of rough schist, it measures 0.92m by 0.53m at ground level and 4.30m in height with the longer axis aligned NNW and SSE.
