Archaeology Notes

NM35SE 11 c.387 532. Sherds of prehistoric pottery, and a barbed-and-tanged arrowhead (Acc. No: AD 2340) from Langamull (NM 387 532) were donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) in 1968 by A MacCallum, Tobermory. Proc Soc Antiq Scot 1969. Mr MacCallum made these finds while planting trees and could only give an approximate findspot at NM 396 514. Visited by OS (RD) 24 April 1972; Information from A MacCallum, 25 Main St, Tobermory. A flint flake (or flakes) from Langamull was donated to the NMAS in 1973-4 by I Macdonald, Tobermory. Proc Soc Antiq Scot 1975.
