NO55NW 5 5052 5872 (NO 5052 5872) Cinerary Urn found AD 1951 (NAT) OS 6" map, (1970) (NO 5053 5871) Inverted urn with calcined bones upon sandstone slab - found by farmworkers on 2 June 1951 during ploughing operations. The site is a circular knoll - once planted - and the urn was found c.20' north of the centre of the mound, which was excavated by Wainwright and D B Taylor. F T Wainwright 1952; Visited by OS (JLD) 28 May 1958. Information from F T Wainwright 28 May 1958. This bucket-shaped cinerary urn is in Dundee Museum (Acc. No: 1971-186). H Coutts 1971.
