Mr Ritchie of the Perth Museum has shown me a first brass of Hadrian, dug up about 1919, in a garden at Fechney, near Perth.
G Macdonald 1924.
The former Wellshill Industrial School buildings occupy the area known as Fechney (NO 1065 2365).
Visited by OS (J L D) 14 December 1960.
A Roman bronze sestertius of Hadrian was found by Mr George Taylor of 4 Rose Lane, Dovecotland in 1919 while digging a garden at Fechney Inch.
Donated to Perth Museum & Art Gallery (Acc No 1994.2153).
