Original description

Part of a collection of fieldwalking finds made by Walter Elliot. ARCH DB 2000/103. ARCH TTNC 2000/11. N.B. X.2009.12.254 (X.FJ 199) is not from Newstead (glass bead from Rink, Selkirk), nor is X.2009.12.278.1 (X.BMA 4569) a collection of flint tools and flakes from Kalemouth, Roxburghshire (NT 714 276). X.FRA 6001 Short Description: samian, Dr 37, late Antonine. Description: 2 decorated samian sherds of Dr 37 in the Lezoux-Central Gaulish style of either Casuvius or Doecus. Probably c.160-200 AD (notes by Brian Hartley). Envelope says three sherds present, but only 2 found in 2012 when registering it. Newstead, Walter Elliot Collection. F. Hunter note, 2013-10-30: Roman.
