Original description

[One of three] Iron Age brooches from Luce Sands, Wigtownshire. X.2008.48 = X.BHF 1 Remains of a Nauheim-variant Iron Age brooch. Most of the spring, bow margins and foot are lost; what survives of the leaf-bow has a central incised line. Large spring, only one coil surviving (D 20 mm). L 81.5 mm, W 11 mm. First century BC. Found in Glenluce Sands Collections by FJH and allocated new number
