Original description

[One of] Finds from Abbey Strand, Edinburgh. [One of] Three assorted wooden objects; one bullet-shaped with a brass pin stuck in its base. Worm-eaten. [672]. A 'scroll'-shaped piece with beige paint. The rounded shape appears to have been produced by cutting flat platforms into the wood and then by shaving them smooth. It might be part of a chair. [673]. Carved 'leaf' furniture decoration. From a back view it appears to have 'wings', in that the central semi-circular section has been produced by cutting into the wood at the back, thus leaving the outer pieces jutting out at the back. [674]. [Was perhaps affixed to HX 684].
