Original description

MEDIEVAL POTTERY. "Pirlie-pig" or money-box of earthenware, conical, with a pink body at base changing to grey upwards and showing traces of a green glaze, the apex fractured and detached. Medieval, found 2 1/2 feet under the surface of very hard ground while opening a peat bank at Obbe, Harris.
