Original description

MEDIEVAL POTTERY. From the excavation of the Roman fort at Mumrills, Stirlingshire in 1929 (PSAS. LXIII, 400) - some associated with a kiln in the NW corner of the fort. Sherds from Jugs. Parts of 3 or more jugs, chalky red ware, red slip, slight traces of green-brown glaze. - Similar but very squat vessel, lacks rim, handle and base, marked angle at shoulder, neck distorted.
