Original description
MEDIEVAL POTTERY. From the excavation of the Roman fort at Mumrills, Stirlingshire in 1929 (PSAS. LXIII, 400) - some associated with a kiln in the NW corner of the fort. Sherds from Jugs. Restored body of globular jug, lacks rim, handle and base; on shoulder a band .8" deep of wide oblique grooves, 2 incised lines above and below; pink-grey ware, sparse light green glaze.
