Original description

The finds from a Bronze Age cairn at Limefield, Lanarkshire (RCAHMS 1978, Inventory no 77) excavated in 1966 - 67 by A MacLaren. Flint and Chert. Knife of pale-grey flint from 'cist' 4, found between the paving-stones on the floor, at a lower level than the pottery (EQ 880 - 881). Secondary flake, with steep retouch on left (75 - 68[degrees]), and more shallow invasive retouch on right side (50[degrees]); some cortex present at distal end; lightly patinated; length 46 mm; maximum width 24 mm; maximum thickness 6.5 mm.
