Original description

The finds from a Bronze Age cairn at Limefield, Lanarkshire (RCAHMS 1978, Inventory no 77) excavated in 1966 - 67 by A MacLaren. Pottery. Unstratified. Base sherd, possibly same vessel as EQ 885 above. Base thickness 15 mm. Outer surface orange-brown, interior and core grey-brown. Hard, well-gritted with grits up to 5 mm. Traces of one small horizontal incision on the side of the sherd, 10 mm from base. MacLaren, A; in, Between and Beyond the Walls, 1984, pp 97 - 116.
