Original description

Ceramic: restored beaker, fine fabric of buff / light brown colour externally and grey / brown internally. Decoration consists of incised lines and comb impressions arranged as follows: Rim: transverse comb impressions; Neck: zones of comb impressions arranged in zig-zags or cross-hatching divided by bands of two or three horizontal incised lines; Belly; the greatest circumference of the vessel is marked by a zone of comb impressions jabbed in at an angle, bounded above and below by a pair of horizontal incised lines; above and below these is a zone of opposed triangles formed by incised lines emphasised by a 'feathering' pattern of short comb impressions. In the Upper set, the pendant triangles are filled with horizontal comb impressions, but in the lower zone, the design is reversed, the pendant triangles being reserved; Foot: jabbed comb impressions around the foot. Craw, J.H., 1905. Found in a cist on Harelaw Hill in 1906.
