Original description

Stone: The lower part of a sandstone column, from the SW end of a granary in the Antonine Fort. Probably one of six supporting a porch (see Curle, 1911, p 58 - 59 & pl XI). Double moulding around circumference above base. Loan Description - Stone column from Newstead, Roxburghshire. (Curle 1910, M. XI, i); 55 cm high, 30 cm base diam. approx; the upper part broken off.
