Original description
Relics recovered from the Roman Fort at Newstead near Melrose, Roxburghshire, in the excavations during the years 1905 to 1909. Pits 70 and 80 (late) combined. Iron nave-binding, split in one place, 6" diameter, 2" deep. [Card - NEWSTEAD COLLECTION. Iron nab].
