NEWSTEAD COLLECTION. Two pairs of upper and lower quernstones of Niedermendig lava with iron mountings, with the iron spindles registered as i.'15-250 & 251; diam. and height 17.5 x 5 and 4"; 14.5 x 4.5 and 2.5". Anon notes: No location. [MoS description] Moving things, travelling people. Roman supply - the Empire. From the Rhineland. (13) Upper stone of Niedermendig lava quern, Newstead. 80 - 180 AD.
