Original description
NEWSTEAD COLLECTION. Bow of a fibula decorated with the four longitudinal mouldings ornamented with arrow-shaped markings, 1 1/8" long. HMcC note, 1998-99: Updated from SCRAN full data set. Fraser Hunter, 27/11/2010: Two joining fragments of a Colchester-derivative brooch, the first half of the bow decorated with longitudinal ribs lined with fine incised triangles; rectangular arms, eight-coil spring with external chord held in crest on head; L 64mm, W 25mm; surviving bow L 27mm.
