Original description
NEWSTEAD COLLECTION. Fibula, broken, the bow being separated from the spring, and pin resembling Fig 4., Pl LXXXV, "Rom. Fron. Post", but the catch plate is not pierced, 3" long. HMcC note, 1998-99: Updated from SCRAN full data set. Fraser Hunter, 27/11/2010: Long, slender, plain D-sectioned bow of a brooch, lacking the head; perhaps a one-piece brooch (Nauheim-derivative or Colchester); L 75mm, H 23mm.
