NEWSTEAD COLLECTION. Scales of brass of a Corica squamata, 338 in number. p. 158, Pl. XXIV, "Rom. Fron. Post." FJH note, April 1996: Should be Lorica, not Corica. [MoS description] Roman military equipment. Legionary or auxiliary. (23) Scale armour, Newstead. 80 - 180 AD.
