Original description

BEADS, RINGS, &C. OF GLASS. Nine glass beads - 7 opalescent, faced, 2 black, oval; E. of Morham Kirk. Alice Blackwell 26.05.2015, note: Erroneously identified in the past as Anglo-Saxon, this group of nine beads are of post-medieval date. All are wound beads. The seven dichroic, opalescent examples have distictive irregular, concave facets. Typological parallels and analysis by xrf (Susy Kirk, AR2011/53) demonstrate they were manufactured between the 17th-19th century. The place of manufacture cannot be identified post-medieval beads were mass produced on the continent, particularly in The Netherlands, Venice and Bohemia.
